A man goes into a hardware store and asks for a half a stick of stove pipe.

The store clerk walks over to the store manager and says, "This dummy over here wants a half a stick of stove pipe."

As he turns around he realizes the man is standing right behind him.

He then turns around and says, "And this fine gentlemen would like the other half!"

Later, the manager tells the clerk, "Hey, that was pretty fast thinking! I like that. How would you like to go to Canada and manage my store there?"

The clerk says, "Canada? There is nothing in Canada but sluts and hockey players."

The manager replies, "My wife is from Canada!"

The clerk says, "And what team does she play for?"
